How we handle halal claims on Offerly. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and Vendor Terms.
1. Certification, declaration, and community listings
Offerly distinguishes between certification, declaration, and community listings. We never label a vendor halal-certified unless we have reviewed their certificate. We never label a vendor verified Muslim-owned unless we have reviewed proof.
2. Verified tags
- MUIS Certified and Halal Certified tags require certificate upload and admin approval before they appear publicly.
- Muslim Owned Declaration and Halal Ingredients Declared are vendor self-declarations, clearly labelled as declarations rather than verified.
- Community Listed are admin-seeded listings that have not yet been claimed or verified by the owner.
3. Reporting a misleading claim
If you spot a vendor making a misleading halal claim, tap Report on their profile — admin reviews within 24 hours. You can also email hello@offerly.sg.
4. No guarantee
Halal and Muslim-owned indicators are informational. Offerly does not guarantee the halal status, certification validity, or accuracy of any listing. Always verify directly with the vendor and the relevant authority (MUIS) before relying on it.
