Effective date: 15 June 2026
Offerly helps Singaporeans discover local, halal, and Muslim-owned businesses. These Guidelines keep the platform trustworthy and safe. They apply to everyone — users and vendors — and form part of our Terms of Service. Breaching them can lead to content removal, listing suspension, or account termination.
1. Be honest
- Reviews must be genuine. Review only places you have real experience with. No fake, paid, incentivised, or retaliatory reviews.
- No rating manipulation. Do not use multiple/sock-puppet accounts, bots, or coordinated activity to boost your own listing or bury a competitor's. Do not generate fake orders, visits, or engagement to influence "Top Rated" or "Trending".
- No impersonation. Do not pretend to be another person, business, or Offerly staff. Only claim a listing you are authorised to manage.
2. Be accurate about halal
- Do not falsely claim or imply MUIS halal certification. "Muslim-owned" is a self-declaration and is not the same as certified halal.
- Vendors must hold genuine, current certification for any certified-halal indicator and keep it up to date.
- Halal misrepresentation is treated as a most-serious breach because of the real harm it can cause.
3. Keep content lawful and respectful
Do not post content that is:
- Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Religiously or racially inflammatory — Singapore is multi-racial and multi-religious; content that threatens religious or racial harmony is strictly prohibited and may be unlawful.
- Defamatory, false, or misleading about a person or business.
- Pornographic, violent, or otherwise harmful or illegal.
- Scams, phishing, malicious links, or unsolicited advertising.
- Personal data of others shared without consent.
4. Reviews and reports about businesses
- Reviews should be fair, factual, and based on real experience. Reporting a genuine concern (e.g. a halal-status doubt) is welcome through the report feature — but knowingly false reports or defamatory statements are not allowed.
- Businesses may respond to or dispute reviews and reports through the proper channels rather than retaliating.
5. Reporting and takedown
- Use the in-app "Report" option on a review, listing, or piece of content, or contact hello@offerly.sg.
- Offerly operates a notice-and-takedown process: we may remove, suspend, or downgrade content or listings that breach these Guidelines or the law, and we may act on valid complaints from affected people or businesses.
- We aim to acknowledge reports promptly and act within a reasonable time. Serious safety/harm issues are prioritised.
6. Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may: remove content, suspend a halal indicator, suspend or remove a listing, warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account, and where appropriate report to the relevant authorities. We may apply a grace/soft-removal period where user data (e.g. saves) is attached.
7. Appeals
If you believe we acted in error, contact hello@offerly.sg with the details and we will review.
These Guidelines work alongside the Terms of Service, Vendor Terms, and Privacy Policy.
