I’m usually not a fan of cai fan, but this place is definitely decent. Everything was flavourful, and the pork rib was tender and fresh. Every dish was well executed. I actually started writing this review halfway through the meal because I knew it deserved one. Ended up finishing the entire plate while waiting for my waker chicken cutlet rice
Some technical glitches at the drink stall. Aside from that, is just another normal coffee shop. Nothing special.
I would like to lodge a complaint regarding an unpleasant and concerning experience I encountered at a coffee stall located at 347 Bukit Batok Food Court. While I was queueing, I noticed that the customer in front of me ordered an iced tea and specifically requested for it to be packed in a plastic bag. The staff complied with his request without any issue. However, when it was my turn, I ordered the same drink and made the same request for it to be placed in a plastic bag. To my surprise, the staff (an auntie) rejected my request outright. I then politely asked why my request could not be accommodated, especially since the previous customer was allowed to do so. She responded by saying “no reason” and insisted that I could only purchase the drink in a cup. This felt inconsistent and unfair. What made the situation more concerning was that the previous customer appeared to be of a different race from me. This led me to feel that I may have been treated differently based on my race. Additionally, another staff member spoke to her in Chinese, saying that if I did not want to accept the drink in a cup, then I should not be served at all. This experience left me feeling disrespected and discriminated against. As a customer, I expect fair and equal treatment regardless of race or background. I hope this matter can be looked into seriously, and that appropriate actions will be taken to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and fairness in the future.
