I ordered one popiah and a black sesame seed muah chee with peanut. The popiah was disappointing. It lacked flavour, especially the garlic taste, and there was very little sweet black sauce. The filling was also too watery, making the popiah soggy and unpleasant to eat. My order was prepared by a senior Chinese auntie. The muah chee was average at best and nothing special. Considering the price, I felt it was overpriced and not worth the queue. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning.
Used to like their popiah but ever since they became halal (and maybe changed their ingredients) or was it because they hired the malay staff who is not familiar with making good popiah I don't know. But 8.50 for 2 popiah, it has gotta be good and worth it. But no it is absolutely not. The 2.50 popiah from hawker centres way better than this. Look at how soggy the popiah is....
Bought a glutinous rice bowl at about 4:30pm, gone sour and slimy at 6:30pm when having dinner at home. Avoid buying their glutinous rice at late timings as they are pre-packed in plastic bowls and not freshly packed.
