Went there for Dental appointment before being prescribed and sent to NDCS for future appointments. I'm fine with what they had to do with my teeth to examine it, I just hated that I wasn't given any numbing cream applied to my gums bc they spent an hour poking ALL parts of my gums between my teeth, deep, resulting in massive pain and swelling that lasted 2 weeks before my next appointment in NDCS. (no painkillers given or advice to lessen the pain) The group of 2 young adult dentists(?) have also repeatedly said that my teeth may also fall out too, which scared me alot considering that I was only 26 y/o, without any health issues, but when I asked them what can I do to my teeth and gums to make sure I'm taking good care of them, they said nothing, advice nothing and left it as that. 😭The family clinic i went that diagnosed me with gum aggression have advised me alot of things as well as how to take care of my gum health and recommended me flosses and what type of toothbrush and how to brush properly (angles) whereas the HPB one said nothing and put me in immense pain without any advice. Now I'm concerned with my future appointments but thankfully not in HPB or the same dentists..😭😭
On 19 January 2019, "Step Up to The Eco-Hunt @ Night Safari" took place. It was a major disaster. I arrived at 630 pm but could only be admitted at 9 pm. We were made to take part in various nonsensical childish activities. Only if you completed the activities then you could redeem a goodie bag. By the time I finished, it was already close to midnight. Many participants were still around. They were giving out instructions that they could go to hpb to collect the goodie bag. I managed to get mine on the spot, and need to run to the bus stop to catch a last bus heading to Ang Mo Kio. Many people were still there, I wondered how were they going to go home. The goodie bag had a few inexpensive useless things. Including a handphone sleeve wear, I think a water bottle, could not remember what else I had. By the time I reached Ang mo kio I didn't have transportation to go home. I spent the night at the central like a homeless man. I didn't even have time to do any sightseeing while in night safrari. It was a badly organised event. I got an opinion about their eat drink and buy initiative. They have collaborated with brands like coca cola. I have already stopped drinking sugared soda but they were now enticing us to drink no sugar but taste like sugar soda by their various promotions. For example spin wheels at the supermarkets. Due to these promotions, I was drawn back to the dark side of drinking soda as there isn't much things to buy to meet the healthy logo requirements. Secondly the qr stamps were being abused. The merchants would keep the codes for themselves, families and friends. Some cashiers for example at sheng siong, would snatch back qr codes from customers who were picking them up from their self check counters. These stamps created a situation of corruption where only some small group of people could benefit. Previously hpb ran roadshows to issue trackers. The security guard would stop people from taking videos and photos. Why was there a need to do this? The only reason I see was to cover up their inept events due to the massive disorganised sights.
