The Chicken rice stall sells good Chinese style chicken rice. To be able to cook steam tender chicken breast that is not dry requires skills. The rice is fragrant and flavourful. The chilli goes well with the rice and chicken too. Don't miss this stall if you are here. The stall is halal too so my Muslim friends that wonder how Chinese style chicken rice tastes like, do come and visit.
Caught sight of a sign that said “Specialised in steamed chicken” — so of course I had to try it. Didn’t expect much from a school food court, but this was a pleasant surprise. The chicken breast was tender (always a good sign the chef knows what they’re doing), and the meat was cut into generous chunks, so it actually felt worth the price. Honestly, it’s not easy to find something that balances quality and value this well 👍🏻
The kaki fuyong, no way. Chicken and egg both overcooked. This is not the famous one we know and loved. The current vendor and cook has destroyed it. The original cook went out and opened his own stall but it's also winded down. Kaki fuyong is lost forever. (There's many chicken in this as I upsized it.) The drinks are also so diluted.
