CaldorHad not come down to West Coast Plaza for awhile, but while here, headed to West Co'z Cafe which is a food place my family likes. We ordered the curry sliced fish, cai poh egg, french bean, lemon chicken and tom yum soup. The french bean with hae bee was a recommendation by the staff when we were choosing the french bean which had one version without. She was really friendly and walked through some of the dishes with us. Food came fast but two of our items were wrong so they corrected them. But guess as with many of the reviews, overall food was ok, but I guess mistake was ordering the curry sliced fish versus the curry fish tail or head. The fish slices were actually the ones with flour thus, is tasted really mushy in the curry. Tom yum was also pretty good and was not overly spicy so you would immediately sense a sore throat coming. Only setback was that though they have coffee on the menu, it was 3 in 1 and not brewed coffee. Still everything was still alright and price was about $18 per pax, so typical restaurant price. Was there around 5 plus, so got a table easily, but saw that the place was packed when I was walking around from 6 plus to 7.
BotakA Halal restaurant which is always full during meal times and is famous for their curry fish head. Their signature curry fish head is really reasonable for the price and great to the taste buds and has sufficient meat. Proportion is also just nice so that you won't overeat. Service is fast and for an air-conditioned place, definitely a thumbs up!

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. I ordered the Assam Curry Fish Tail, and it was really tasty. The curry was nicely tangy with a good balance of flavours, and the fish tail was fresh, tender, and soaked up the sauce beautifully. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the menu features a solid selection of comforting local favourites. Service was friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re craving hearty, flavourful local food.
