Had western food at Makan West (new stall). Pleasantly surprised by quality. I had pasta with dory while my husband had the fish n chips. They are flexible in that you can choose your choice of carbs - either fries, rice, pasta and for pasta, you can choose if you wish to have it in tomato sauce, aglio olio or cream sauce. My dory was nicely breaded, altho a tad salty, while the pasta portion was generous, but also a tad salty. I promptly gave feedback to the chef about the salt and he was gracious about it.
Generally disappointing food from this food court. The salted egg chicken mini wok was so bad that I couldn't finish it. Pathetically small chicken cube which were mostly flour and barely any meat, yet they dont taste cooked at all. Salted egg flavour is one that is less difficult to get wrong, well I was proved so wrong. The chicken murtabak from another store was much more egg than meat, disappointing proportion though it tasted okay. The korean kimchi chicken ramen was decent, but it's only right since it's essentially upgraded instant noodles.
The amount of meat me and my friend got by the miniwok stall is diabolical. Should have known when my food was ready within 3 minutes of ordering (did they pre-cook it?) Even one portion economy rice stalls usually give is more than this, and i paid $7+, unfortunately no refunds. Rice is also dry and feels undercooked. The aircon is not really working, the mall is colder than the food court itself.
