We enjoyed the Chicken Mandi Rice, Hawawshi and Kunafa. To the uninitiated, Chicken Mandi is a traditional dish featuring succulent, spice-rubbed chicken served over a bed of fragrant, long-grain basmati rice. The word "mandi" comes from the Arabic nada, meaning "dew," which refers to the moist and tender texture of the meat produced by its unique cooking method. We also had fun discussing Mandi vs Briyani! 😁😋👍 Mandi: Relies on a lighter, more aromatic spice blend that emphasizes the quality of the meat. the meat is on top of the rice. Biryani: Features a complex, multi-layered blend of robust spices. The meat is generally hidden within the layers of colorful rice. Hawawshi (pronounced ha-WOW-shi) is a quintessential Egyptian street food, often described as a spiced meat pie or an "Egyptian burger". It consists of a pita or dough pocket stuffed with a savory, highly seasoned mixture of minced meat and vegetables, which is then baked or grilled until the exterior is crispy and the interior is juicy. This was also delicious! 😋 Though we wondered about the white garlic/mayo drizzle on the hawawshi🤔 Kunafa (also known as Knafeh or Künefe) is a legendary Middle Eastern dessert celebrated for its contrasting textures—a crispy, golden-brown crust that resembles thin, crispy noodles and a warm, gooey interior, we got tiny bit of cheese 🧀 in the middle! It's served with milk, syrup water and the kunafa itself is topped with a generous amount of crushed pistachios 😋 Liked the chefs attention to detail in attempting to serve their food properly, rather than merely speedily. Ahmed's a friendly guy! See his smile in the attached photos.

Just wanted a quick bite for dinner, so I ordered the lamb kebab. I really enjoyed it, it was packed with the lamb meat nicely seasoned and wrapped tightly (very important). And what I found differently from some of the kebabs I had in SG, the wrap is thinner and perfectly toasted. Making for not only good taste, but also pleasing texture. Will come back again 100%

First time trying Egyptian food but the kebab platter with chicken and lamb did not disappoint. I think meat lovers will enjoy the grilled kebab meats together with mandi rice and salad. Really enjoyed it.
