This is the OG stall for this famous stall that sells putu piring. It is located at Haig Road Market & Food Centre, along the row of stalls that faces the opposite HDB block, block 12. It is still run by the OG owner and his wife. The stall was featured in a NetFlix Street Food episode. The price of the putu piring here is cheaper than at their other stalls, as they use the traditional grey paper to pack their food. The other stalls use colorful paper boxes instead, which increases costs. A pack costs $2.80. It consists of 4 putu piring, coconut shavings and some pandan leaves. The pandan leaves impart a nice aroma to the putu piring. It was piping hot when they served it to us, as they keep them in a thermal box right after they are made. It tastes good. Recommended.

I would highly recommend tourists to visit this spot near Haji Lane for a local delicacy / simple snack. It is simple and cheap and there is a lovely entertainment in seeing it being made. It is kind of like a small coconut pancake or soft donut. Really nice and satisfying!

I was here during Ramadhan and even though it was packed, we still able to find seats and order. Ordering was no fuss and waiting time was quite ok. Taste wise, it's quite similar to how putu piring in KL. But its far more enjoyable since it was during Ramadhan when I'm able to walk from Pasar Geylang Serai and come over here for a break.
