Beatrice LFinally found another halal mala spot in joo chiat, honestly better than the one at cantine in paya lebar square and not as overpriced. Went twice and tried level 2 and level 1 spiciness. Level 2 was spicy as heck but worth it, level 1 wasn't as spicy but somehow the food was a little bland (not sure if it's because I went too late). The ingredients may look little compared to other mala stores, but they're just as good and fresh. They got mussles too, which is rare for mala places to have. People at the store are really friendly. Do give them a try if you're around the area. I'll definitely go back again :)

We ordered the curry fish head, omelette, marmite chicken, and sambal kangkong, and every single dish was spot on. The curry fish head was rich, fragrant, and packed with flavor. The kind that keeps you going back for more. The omelette was fluffy and comforting, done just right. The marmite chicken had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, crispy on the outside and tender inside, while the sambal kangkong added a nice spicy kick that tied everything together beautifully. What impressed me most was not just the taste, but also the consistency across all dishes. It’s rare to find a place where everything on the table hits such a high standard. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable, making it an excellent option whether you’re dining casually or bringing a group. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area and definitely a must-try if you enjoy hearty, flavorful zichar-style dishes. I’ll certainly be coming back again!
JJ GooThis Malay mala definitely tastes better than other halal mala options. The dishes are really flavourful, with a nice kick of spice and umami, yet reasonably priced. Great value for money and I will definitely come back again!
