LokiTokyo Shokudo at Lot One was a very enjoyable ramen experience. I tried the chicken cha shu spicy ramen together with a side order of spicy boiled gyoza, and both were satisfying and flavourful. The ramen broth had a nice spicy kick without being overwhelming, while the chicken cha shu was tender and paired well with the noodles The spicy boiled gyoza was also surprisingly good, soft and juicy with a light spicy sauce that complemented the ramen nicely. The restaurant itself feels clean, cosy, and comfortable for a casual meal Personally, I found this meal more enjoyable than the recent ramen I had at Ramen Kiou
LEAI rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience left me with no choice. Arriving at an 80% empty restaurant during off-peak hours, I stood waiting to be seated with no acknowledgment from staff. Eventually, I simply chose a table myself, not exactly a warm welcome. I ordered the corn duck ramen, only to receive it without the corn. I was halfway through my bowl before I noticed. When I flagged this to the manager, the resolution offered was a separate side plate of corn, a strange fix for an ingredient that should have been in the dish from the start. The waiter who served my food was outright rude, practically throwing the bowl of ramen and my glass onto the table rather than placing them down with any care. As for the food itself, disappointing across the board. The ramen broth was lukewarm and bland. The chicken pieces were tasteless, not crispy, and also served lukewarm. The duck was equally flavourless. And the corn, when it finally arrived, was drenched in oil. With so many great ramen spots to choose from, I won't be returning.
Owenacame in the afternoon, restaurant is quite empty. but yes, the fly and cleanliness issue are still there. Hope the management can take a look and do something (i suggest to close the shop for a few days to do thorough cleaning and pay the staff properly, so they work harder on hygiene of the shop). food wise, the ramen is so so. portion of beef is so little. not worth the price at all. maybe because it's halal, so the soup base wasn't my cup of tea. still prefer the Japanese Tonkotsu broth (makes with pork bone). iced hojicha okay. takoyaki normal. to be honest, even though Ajisen ramen is not the nicest, I'd rather go there cuz of the cleanliness hygiene and the price. please work harder on this.
