Service - Bad slow arrogant service staff. Slow gila. Bila dapat Panggil staff, dia eye contact Lepas Tu buat bodoh. Too bad I dah janji my family belanja dorang makan sini, kalau tak dah jalan woooii. Jgn la buat customer tu mcm, sibut pun Kasi la menu or let them know U engaged. Buang muka dgn customer apa yg dtgkan faedah. Environment - Seriously hygiene is in question as there's tons of cockroach 🪳 flying and crawling ones from the back alley, where we park our car. Looking at that I was seriously worried on kids getting food poisoning, but alhamdullillah all went well. Food - Loads of variety but every time want to order, this don't have, that don't have. In the end I ask them what they have and we order accordingly. Drinks - Normal drinks, nothing special. Price - A bit overpriced but for a 24hr joint, kind of expected. But not worth the travel and $$$ to dine. Can have better options elsewhere. Overall first and last for me, at least brought family as promised. Lesson learnt, always recce the place first before being your family down!
89.7 supper club has been a reputable hang out place for late night goers. The saviour of after Covid “to-go” makan after shopping malls closing place. However, the change of staffs (typically foreign employees) has caused the food quality to drop. The taste of local has gone. It’s a mixed feeling for me, but overall the variety of food is good. Inflation and shrinkflation is real here.
Ordered quite a few dishes for 5 pax, but everything was disappointing, from the roasted and steamed chicken rice to the fried wonton, onion omelette, fish ball soup, and stir fried kangkong. Roasted Chicken Rice: Still edible, though it arrived cold as if it had been left out for a long time. Steamed Chicken Rice: Honestly, do not even bother. It felt like it came straight from the chiller and was left to warm up on its own. I literally felt like I was eating sashimi chicken. When I told the staff it was cold, they gave me a face. And the soup? Saltier than the ocean. It really makes me wonder if the cooks even tasted the food before allowing the server to bring it out to us. Onion Omelette and Kangkong: Barely any seasoning, almost tasteless. I used to come here quite often in the past and it was a solid 6 to 7 out of 10. Now? More like a 3 to 4 out of 10. I will only return for late night drinks with friends and maybe some light bites like fries. Other than that, probably not.
