We had a great dining experience! We ordered the burger with fries, the grilled dory, and the seafood platter. Everything was well-prepared, and the grilled dory was especially flavorful and cooked perfectly. The seafood platter was fresh, generous, and great for sharing. We also tried the banana chocolate drink, which was rich and refreshing. The set meal came with a creamy mushroom soup that was absolutely delicious. Overall, the food was satisfying, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and generous portions. Definitely a place worth visiting again!
Definitely not a 4.8/5, and the reason why is because the cafe gives out free ice lemon tea for 5 stars reviews. 8 out of the most recent 10 reviews at time of writing are short or empty 5 star reviews. Food: 3/5 It's mostly average. Honey chicken: 3/5 It's nice initially but by the 5th bite I felt it was too sweet and this became harder to eat. Coleslaw: 3/5 Standard quality, not bad portion Butter rice: 1/5 Terrible... There's a weird taste. Ice lemon tea: 3.5/5 Not bad, though no actual lemon is given Mushroom soup: 3.5/5 Not bad, but nothing amazing. Service: Mostly self service Atmosphere: 2/5 It was kinda bad, too noisy, maybe cos that day there were a lot of children running and screaming about.
The chocolate ice-blended drink is really good! Not too sweet, very chocolatey and smooth. No big chunks of ice in there. The size is just nice for 1 person. I also had the seafood pesto pasta (forgot to take picture). It had fried fish, prawns and mushrooms. I appreciate that the food tasted fresh. The fried fish inside was crispy, not too oily or dry. Pesto was flavourful. Overall, the pasta was pretty good. I also wanted to say the staff here are quite proactive, even though I came during off-peak hours. This is a nice cosy cafe. The food and drinks here are yummy and have decent prices. Would definitely come again. Thanks!
