edtayjbMy wife and I were here today (14 DECEMBER 2025) for some coffee and a dessert. We were encouraged by the counter staff to indulge in TCBTL's Christmas promotions and so, we ordered the following here: an Iced Single Origin Latte Regular, a Peppermint Dark Chocolate Small with Cream through its Holiday Set Mug promotion, and a Mini Raspberry Dark Chocolate Logcake. Firstly, the Logcake was very good - very chocolatey and moist. The Coffees were very good - I especially enjoyed the Peppermint Dark Chocolate although it initially came without my earlier asked for Cream. And I do like the durable Holiday Everyday Mug. Service here was in general, good - the male ordering counter staff member was very friendly and courteous; the female staff member at the collection counter could have been friendlier. The dining ambience here was very nice - the tables were set wide apart with comfortable seating and the dining ambience here was very good.
ElsewhereBriefly XStaff were dismally unhelpful when asked about non dairy options. Went to get the 1 for 1 matcha lavender Earl Grey latte special, and asked if we could swap the milk for a dairy-free option (they have oat and soy milk on the menu). Staff insisted there was no dairy in it (but latte means milk??). The drinks came out, evidently milky. Asked staff again, and they again claimed there was no dairy in it. We checked, and the vanilla powder they use in it is dairy based. Went back again to point this out to staff, and they said they could redo it without the dairy vanilla powder, but with soy milk (they had initially said they could put dairy milk in it??) It came out essentially just bland soy milk with jelly cubes. No matcha, no lavender, not even earl grey flavour. This was a complete fail. Staff clearly don't know what dairy-free means, which is BAD for customers. There are dairy-free drinks on the menu, including dairy-free matcha lattes. The replacement drink wasn't even vaguely an attempt at matching the drink we paid for. Coffee Bean needs to do better.
Audrey LThis place is phenomenal, spacious and the staff is friendly. There are a set breakfast for two which is quite worth the value. The latte is so good, the breakfast contains baked beans, eggs, salad and sandwich. It’s enough to fill up my stomach.
