Grace ChuaI had a tea session at Coffee Bean Raffles City today with an interesting encounter. Start off pleasantly with a 1-For-1 cheese cake promotion we chanced on (the sign says 1-for-1 promotion). The short-hair lady who served us was snappy and very unfriendly. But I let it be. As we continued our tea & cheesecake, I decided to order another set of cheesecake given the promotion. On the shelf is another whole fresh new cheesecake just placed in (now the 1-for-1 sign is removed & no longer there). The Muslim lady server in head-gear then told me that there’s no more promotion. And say no more cheesecake available. I was puzzled and returned to my table. My friend then show me that Coffee Bean posted their promotion to be till 22 May & I should have my cake. She showed the post to the staff who at first still refused to honor the promotion. When we waited further for her reply, she relented and say ok to let us order the cake. It is really weird that the promotion is based on the server’s wimb and fancy. I am not sure if the server has some reasons or personal agenda why she does not want to do the promotion. I was quite disappointed with them
Dave NgBeen a regular patron of the mall, hence certainly a five stars for atmosphere. Fairly disappointed with the turkey ham and cheese brioche burger because I don’t taste the cheese. As for the service, honestly need improvement.
