The two packets of fried carrot cake cost SGD 12, which is far above the SGD 3‑5 range you normally see for similar portions at other stalls. The menu offers no price list, so it’s hard to know what to expect before ordering. When we asked for two packets, the owner didn’t check whether we wanted them spicy; one was seasoned with a spicy paste meant for mee goreng, while the other was basically an egg omelette with cubes of carrot cake dotted through it. The carrot cake itself was not fried as traditionally done since it is a steamed kueh. The portion was absolutely tiny, only about three mouthfuls per person. For a stall aiming to serve a standard product, it would be helpful to sample the fried carrot cake sold by other vendors first. Overall, the price is ridiculously steep for the small portion, the lack of menu pricing is frustrating, and the execution was off. I would not recommend this stall.

Dropped by the new BreadGang & Co outlet at 456 Jurong West with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. I ordered the loaded fries — which, judging by roughly 20-minute wait time, I assumed were being grown, harvested, and fried from scratch. Here’s the thing: there was no queue. Not a single person waiting. It wasn’t even peak hour. Yet, my order seemed to vanish into the void. My mom checked in after a while, only to be told, “It’s not ready.” Meanwhile, 3 to 4 staff members were in the kitchen , while I saw 2 from the counter maybe went out for whatever reason — and not exactly looking like they were in a rush to serve. When the fries were finally ready, I was hoping the taste would redeem the delay. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Two bites in, and that was enough for me. The fries were underwhelming, and definitely not worth the wait. Doesn't even compare to the picture shown at the stall. What made it worse was the complete lack of customer service from beginning to end— no smiles, no updates, not even a sense of urgency. Some staff were just standing around, watching. It felt like customers were invisible. Really disappointed, especially for a new outlet. I hope this was just a one-off and not the usual standard. Hopefully, the team takes this as constructive feedback to improve. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same experience.

Ordered the Roti John Nacho Cheese Beef at Mr. Teh Tarik 456 Jurong West. It was disappointing to say the least. Size of the roti john is nowhere near $9.90. And secondly, the beef was nowhere to be seen. I opened the roti and could count with my fingers. There were only about 4 minced small beefs. Could hardly tasted the beef. I wouldn’t have complained if it costed maybe $6-7. But to sell it at $9.90 is cutthroat.
