Visited Swensen’s Unlimited @ Geneo for a lunch buffet with my office colleagues, and it turned out to be a great experience especially since it was my birthday. The buffet had a wide variety of items, and most of them suited my taste perfectly. The highlight was definitely the desserts and the huge selection of ice cream flavours, so many choices to try! At around SGD 35 per person, it felt totally worth it for an unlimited buffet. Overall, a nice place to celebrate or just enjoy a good meal with friends. Highly recommended 👍
First time at Swensen’s Unlimited and was impressed by the value of the buffet. We visited on a Friday and service was fantastic. We needed to wait for our full party before we could enter, but the manager made arrangements to push back our reservation slot and allowed us to enter provided the latecomers followed our timings (that was already pushed backwards). We were okay with the arrangement and then allowed entry. This arrangement allowed us to have a small head start before the horde of company-sponsored reservations came in, on the day that we visited. One thing to note was that the restaurant was very quiet all the way till 11:45am, before the crowd suddenly burst in literally. Kudos to the staff for managing this influx well and at no point did we feel squeezed nor uncomfortable, though there was a lot of queue cutting by the horde. Despite that, there was more than enough food for everyone, with a splendid variety of cuisine and generous numbers of queues for the different types of cuisine. The live stations were popular though it came with a short wait time. It is more of how much your stomach can take in rather than worrying about the fight for food. Chefs were efficient and quickly replenished items that were popular. I especially enjoyed the pizzas and how cheesy it was! The pizzas were strategically placed with the pitas, which ensured that there was enough pizzas for everyone who really wanted them as pizzas, and not used as dips for curry by the horde. The ice cream bar was definitely a highlight though there was no queue on the day I visited. I believe that most would be too full with the mains, and that worked in my favour as I was definitely there for the ice cream. While the ice cream had the same nostalgic taste from the Earthquake that I had from years back as a student, there were lots of new flavours and some were even sugar free, though I cannot imagine what was used in replacement as it tasted sweeter than the original ice creams. Another point to note was that there were gelato and ice cream sections, and there was a difference in the milk. Personally I prefer the gelato. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and we used the full 90mins. Felt horribly stuffed after that but enjoyed the experience. Would definitely do this once in a while and highly recommended for the value.
