I had a mixed experience here, but the fried chicken itself was a winner. I ordered the 2-piece meal and was served a drumstick and breast meat. Both were crispy on the outside while being tender and juicy on the inside. I’m usually wary of getting dry breast meat, but they prepared it perfectly. The coleslaw was a great side, and the honey-butter biscuit was served warm and felt very comforting. The disappointment came with the ala carte items. The buns on my chicken burger were stale and dry, and the fried chicken patty inside was a tad dry too. I also grabbed a Tex Wrap for a friend, and she had the same feedback, the chicken inside the wrap was a bit dry. It’s strange that the standard fried chicken was so succulent while the patties in the burger and wrap were disappointing. Perhaps it was just a one-off issue with that batch, but next time I think I’ll skip the burgers and wraps and just stick to their excellent fried chicken.
We had a wonderful experience thanks to Peter. He was very kind and thoughtful he specially cooked a fresh new batch of chicken for us because my wife cannot eat spicy chicken. Truly excellent service and much appreciated
My experience at this outlet has been a pleasantly positive one overall. As I have supper occasionally, Chitra who is usually on duty is attentive (asked for two drumsticks) and is always so friendly.
