The food was great. Affordable and outstanding authentic taste. Sambal Kang Kong is a must try. Chicken and Beef Kampung Fried Rice was delicious. All in all a good experience and a must try food establishment!!
Their chicken rice is consistently good, on par with their Changi Village outlet. The rojak is fresh, refreshing, and generously portioned, and their salted egg sauce is savoury and flavourful - salted egg egg plant is my go to order.
Overall, the food was quite disappointing and far from what I expected. The dim sum felt more like something to simply fill your stomach rather than dishes prepared with quality or taste in mind. One of the biggest disappointments was the custard bao. It arrived with the custard filling already hardened instead of being smooth, creamy, and flowing. It felt as though it had been sitting around for too long before being served. The sweet dessert was equally underwhelming. It lacked flavour, balance, and freshness, making it difficult to finish. For a restaurant serving dim sum, I would expect desserts to be one of the highlights, but unfortunately that was not the case. Overall, the food quality did not justify the visit. From the dim sum to the dessert, nothing stood out positively, and the experience left me disappointed. There are many better dim sum options available at a similar price point. Sadly, I would not return or recommend this place.
