Do note that dine in is not available and ordering can only be made via mobile order. Hence, even though the shop states that CDC payment is available, it's not, since payment is made online whilst placing an order. The place is pretty much dead. There was minimal staff and she couldn't converse in English from what I observed when other patrons tried asking her some questions. Food wise, I personally feel that it has detoriated. I ordered prawn dumpling and OG fried rice. This is always my to-go at Tang Tea House. Fried Rice: While I appreciate that it's not oily, it doesn't even comes with taste. None at all. It feels like the chef had forgotten to add seasonings to it. Also, I noticed the portion has gotten lesser. Great choice for peeps on calorie deficit. 👍🏻 Dumpling: This has no taste as well (?). It feels like I'm just eating it for the texture. It was bland. Honestly I don't see myself returning again. Not in person nor online ordering. It's such a shame because I truly liked their food before. If you do plan / insist on going, do order ahead and self collect. Don't wait up there since there's nothing much around the area (it's a housing estate area).

Was searching for a coffeeshop to have a hot drink and happen to find this place. Seems they are under partial renovations... Unable to sit down for meals or drinks. They still are taking online orders. Can use the QR code if ya happen to be there. Only card payment via guest mode. No paynow function. Staff was friendly.

I was quite disappointed with my visit today. Upon arrival, I was informed that there was no dine-in available, and only takeaway was allowed. There were only four tables open for dining in, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere on your Facebook, Google, or Instagram pages. On top of that, I had to place my order through the app, meaning CDC vouchers couldn’t be used since payment had to be made online. Even the tap water was disabled, so there wasn’t anywhere to wash my hands before eating. When I asked about this arrangement, the staff mentioned it was due to a lack of manpower. Taste wise, it was also disappointing this time. The Shanghai steamed chicken dumplings tasted sour, as if they were spoiled, and the porridge was very bland. It would’ve helped if pepper and soy sauce were available, but there was nothing on the tables, just empty chairs and tables left for diners. The lemon sour plum drink I bought was literally cordial lime juice with 1 slice of lemon and 2 sour plum. $3.40 for that. I’ve visited a few times before and found the food to be moderate, but after this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
