I had a very disappointing experience at this bread shop. Last Wednesday night, I bought a cake for my breakfast the next morning. When I checked it the next day, I found white and black spots on it and confirmed that it was mouldy. After work, I returned to the shop with the cake and receipt. Instead of apologizing, the counter china staff appeared dismissive and asked another colleague to handle the matter. I was offered a replacement cake, but it was a lower-priced item than the one I originally purchased, and no one asked for my preference. When I declined the replacement, the counter china staff became rude and loudly blamed me for bringing the cake back the next day. She said I should have eaten it on the same day and complained about not having the same cake available. What shocked me most was that the cake was mouldy, yet there was no apology. Instead, I was blamed in front of other customers. I had also checked with the staff before purchasing, and I was told the cake could be kept until the next day. Mistakes can happen, but the staff's attitude and handling of the situation were unacceptable. Very poor customer service and after-sales support.
Affordable bakery where you can use your CDC vouchers. The bread tastes average or below average, likewise for the cakes. The best thing about Swee Heng is the price. They also run promotions in the night before closing time where it becomes even cheaper.
I think you all might as well just remove the butter flavour waffle from your menu. I don’t know if it’s because your team lacks experience in making waffles, or you’re unaware that butter melts when it comes into contact with heat. I’ve tried waffles from many places, and they all know that freshly made waffles should be left to cool slightly before spreading any sauce or butter on top. That way, the waffle stays crispy and tastes better. Also, your waffles are always undercooked—the baking time is too short, and they come out soft and doughy. I understand that things can get busy during peak hours, but from a customer’s point of view, if you choose to sell a product, then please make sure it’s done properly. Otherwise, just don’t sell it. Doing it this way only disappoints your customers!
