There is a Vietnamese lady who always prioritise talking to doing her work and serving customers. I stood at the cashier for almost one minute looking at her talking and showing her stuff on her phone to colleague before she came to take my order. Then she served the waffle to the customer who both came and ordered after me. Obviously she made a mistake as she prepared the waffle thinking it was mine and wanting to pass to me the wrong order. I corrected her then she just packed and pass to that customer who ordered after me. Upon questioning she said the guy came earlier and put in the order before me. Firstly I was there the whole time witnessing that customer coming only after me and the order only taken after mine and the order only written after mine (she writes orders on the paper bag used to put the waffle in). It’s ridiculous how she tried to argue her way out of such situation obviously oblivious to her surrounding if not obviously trying to lie her way out.. Swee Heng management should take a serious look into this staff (Sunday morning). The Chinese lady on the other hand is very good. Very professional, diligent and friendly.
Fully understand prices has increased across all sectors due to current market situation. But comparing to other heartland bakeries, Swee Heng has increased their prices with big jump. Example like their Salted Bean bun used to be $2.60, now increased to $3. Another example, their bundle deal for 2 items used to be $4 and now increased to $5. Just for reference, other small bakeries increased only like $0.10 to $0.20 which is totally reasonable and acceptable.
Edited Oct25- The staff managing this outlet is so buay gan wan. Terrible service. Big, clean and lots of variety of bakes and snacks. Bread, cakes, mooncake, swiss rolls, big containers of different type of crackers, biscuits, freshly made water, jam spread bread, custom birthday cakes etc. We ordered their 1kg birthday for my girls small party, it is very nice and not too sweet. Guest all said nice!
