Update: their newest taro salted egg bun is pretty heavy on the palate, expected a runny filling but it’s more of taro and salted egg paste instead, which gets pretty jialat after a while. The mochi red bean polo bun was a little dry and doesn’t contain much filling. As always, one of the best neighbourhood bakeries with a wide variety and affordable bread. Some must trys include their hand tear bun, walnut cheese, chicken floss bun, cherry custard danish, blueberry muffin cake, and brown sugar twist. Honestly I don’t think there’s any bread there that I hate.
extremely rude staff especially at the cashier, please be careful of the cashier named Carol. DON’T bother coming to here unless you want a distasteful experience that makes you lose your appetite!!! the full-timers here are extremely unprofessional, ESPECIALLY CAROL. if you don’t want to serve customers then why work in f&b cashier??? i was simply making payment at the cashier, she started finding problems with me for no reason maybe because having a bad day. the staff kept on making rude remarks like clicking her tongue, insulting me quietly in mandarin to other full-time coworkers as if i couldn’t hear, when i wanted to pay using paywave. she kept giving me attitude for no reason when i just wanted to buy bread and go. extremely unprofessional. while browsing, i saw Carol kept on shouting and shouting and hitting this poor trainee worker without even hiding it while other workers were just laughing along. i was so shocked. this is extremely unacceptable and unprofessional, this should not be tolerated at all. swee heng pls do better, many of the bad reviews here are because of workers with bad attitude as well, it must be that woman Carol.
waffle is not fluffy, texture is hard. flour quality is lousy as theres a rough lingering feeling on tongue after taking a hite. waffle is expensive for the subpar quality. salted cheese flavour taste disgusting too.
