Visited on 8 April 2840pm and had a rather disappointing experience. When I encountered a payment issue, there was no staff around for me to call over, so I had to walk all the way to the kitchen area. Even then, the waitress only spoke to me from a distance. When she could not hear me, she didn't bother to walk over and I had to raise my voice just to communicate with her. On top of that, the food was overly salty, especially the beef and the vegetables. Nothing Japanese level
Went to sukiya and tried one of their newest items, the medium size yakitori chicken bibimbap for lunch and it was good. However, the bibimbap was served with stingy portion of green vegetable, beansprouts & kimchi ( basically one piece each, less then small portion ). I asked one of the staff if the portion size was suppose to be one piece each and asked to add bit more for each ingredient to the bowl but the staff was hesitant and went to check with manager, came back to tell me portion size was standard. Had to ask the staff to convince the manager again before finally agreeing to add bit more of the vegetable ingredients to my bibimbap bowl and they even provided a extra bowl of all three vegetable ingredients. Appreciated the service but I just needed a little bit more vegetable added into my bibimbap bowl, not too much. I could have given back the extra bowl of vegetables but i did not want to trouble the staff any further and just accepted it. I will not order the bibimbap again and just order the regular items the next time i go sukiya.
Tried their new melted cheese bibimbap while my wife had the gyudon. Both were too wet with too much sauce. My bibimbap is weird, salty and sweet. Not exactly the usual bibimbap.
