Used to eat here but will never again since their reno. I found this Subway outlet marketing practices deceptive and not upfront. Ordered a breakfast set which they advertised as from $3.30. - they asked if i wanted 6 inch flatbread but I pointed to the advertisement which indicated 3 inch. Granted ok need to upsell - they then asked if I wanted coffee, cappuccino, latte, americano without indicating the rest would be an upgrade and cost me extra -Then when they gave the bill instead of $3.30 it turned up to be $8.20. Tell me if this 8 mini hash browns and small flatbread and latte is worth it. Paid the bill and asked why they didn’t tell me it was an upgrade cause the latte itself cost $3.80 which was double the price I wanted to pay. The lady went on defensively to say if I had only wanted hashbrown and the meal she would have charged me the bread and additional $2.50 for the hashbrown. She was speaking in a muffled way behind her mask so I could barely hear her. I would not have minded paying for the latte if I really wanted it. But I had thought it was part of the meal. Their reaction makes me think it was not a misunderstanding but manipulative advertising. Save your money and go to Mcdonald’s and have a Big Breakfast for $9 instead of this measly amount of food. Even $5 value meal at Mcdonald can get you better than this.
terrible service. both workers were quite rude and seemed inexperienced. female staff had my order almost messed up, and when i reminded her, she seemed quite displeased. she also flattened my bread, as seen in the picture. i was told by the male staff that i could only added a maximum of 5 vegetables? i was quite perplexed as this isn’t the case for other outlets. i also couldnt hear clearly, and when asked to repeat, he seemed impatient. bad experience, wouldn’t recommend.
This is the only Subway outlet that is very calculative with their vegetable portions. The sandwiches always have much less veggies compared to other outlets unless you ask for more. The staff also press the bread so flat while preparing it that it almost becomes a chapatti instead of a sandwich. HQ should look into their lettuce and vegetable replenishment versus sales volume, as it feels like the ingredients are being rationed too much.
