Used to come to this Subway at Rail Mall all the time when I was younger, so it felt pretty surreal coming back and seeing how much the place has changed over the years… but also nice to see that it’s still around after all this time. The sandwiches are typical subway still good and tasty, and it was nice to see some newer sub variants on the menu. We also tried the falafel and waffle fries, though unfortunately both turned out quite soggy which was a bit disappointing. The current store layout also feels a little unoptimized, and the outlet itself feels somewhat dim compared to BK next door. That said, I guess dine-in traffic probably isn’t what it used to be anymore. Overall, a bit of a mixed experience, but still glad this old familiar spot is still standing.
I love this Subway outlet that is just ten minutes' walk from where I live. I was here today to take away my usual Tuna Wrap and I received very good service from Li Peng behind the counter - she was friendly and polite. As for the dining ambience here, it is usually quiet when I am there and because I live nearby, I rarely get to enjoy its air-conditioned comfort. As for my Tuna Wrap, it is very good as always.
I would not recommend dining at this restaurant. The customer service was extremely poor—the female staff member, a person in a blue shirt with a Subway bandana and visible arm tattoos, appeared completely disengaged and unwilling to be there. At first, I thought it might just be my experience, but another customer who came in received the exact same rude attitude. The staff seemed more focused on pre-closing routines than assisting customers, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. This lack of basic professionalism made the visit very disappointing.
