Had family dinner at Steak 99 for sizzling steaks 🥩. The restaurant was located inside JEM lv2. Halal certified. We tried the 300g ribeye served on a lava stone - it was flavourful, not too fatty, tender & juicy. tips : put the cut meat on a side plate so it doesn’t overcook. The original sauce was really good, definitely recommended 👌. Also had the chicken steak, tender & tasty, it went very well for chicken steak and original sauce. With combo sets you get free flow rice, salad, and wakame soup which is great value. The onsen egg was delicious and runny, aglio olio pasta was nice, spicy and garlicky 🍝. Beef curry was ok, nothing special. Portions are generous for the price, Service is quick, place could gets busy & long queue during peak hours. Do ask for dining apron to cover your clothing.
Regretted not reading through the comments before coming. Not sure what's the hype. I have never taste a ribeye like this before. Didn't look or taste like beef at all? The hotplate is not really that hot any my ribeye is still so uncooked. Never visiting this place anymore.
Very crowded, halal steak restaurant. Decent steaks and good butter and sauces. Steak is pretty decent. Tried the house sirloin, with extra truffle butter and curry beef to up. I recommend getting the butter top up as this will amp up the flavor, you can even eat it without the sauces. Since they use a stone grill, you have to eat fast if you want it to be medium well or medium rare. This also means the last few bites will not be medium rare or medium well. Beef curry top up is a bit on the small side, more curry than beef. I think you can get extra rice refill for free here. Not sure about the soup and vegetables. Side dishes are best if shared. Tables are mostly limited to 4 pax as well. Best to come outside peak hours, or expect a long queue and about 15 min prep time.
