Prata is consistently good. I ordered the $2.34 Prata Goreng. Cashier asked whether I wanted chicken or mutton, egg sunny side up or something else. Only when he keyed in $2 x 2 did I realise these are optional extras. So I cancelled the egg. After we finished our food, cashier requested we do a review after which we will get a $5 voucher. I obliged. But when I showed him, he was not happy I gave only 4 stars. When I asked about the $5 voucher, he pointed to a scan to join membership which has a $5 voucher. I am already a member so no point. Not sure whether he misled us or not giving because the review not 5 stars. Anyway, I returned to this review to change it to 3 stars because of this poor attitude and service. The Prata is still good though and I will go back again!
Visited Springleaf Prata Place for an early Sunday dinner (4 pax). We had the masala chicken briyani, plus onion, coin, plain and egg prata, and teh tarik. The briyani rice could be more fragrant, but the chicken was really good — tender and flavourful. Prata was on the crispier side and slightly oilier than preferred; would’ve liked a bit more of that doughy, chewy texture. Nice touch that you can help yourself to curry. Parking was easy right outside, and it was quiet since we went early. Overall, a no-brainer, safe option that won’t go wrong.
The best quiet space to have your prata craves. Michelin prata with yearly new flavour. The Ultimate Murtabak is the best, as it contains savoury and sweet elements, with the crisp. Drinks: Teh Halia Snacks: $1.30 for a pack of papadam while waiting for your murtabak (30 mins during low peak) Self help to Fish curry and Chicken curry. Tried the Otah prata this time but there is this sauce which is sickly sweet, which makes the otah an understatement. Cozy environment but do expect some houseflies hovering.
