Had a great meal at Springleaf Prata Place @ SAFRA Tampines! We ordered the Masala Thosai and their signature Umami 50, and both were excellent. The Masala Thosai was crispy on the outside, with a flavourful and satisfying potato filling. It paired perfectly with the accompanying chutneys and curry. The Umami 50 was definitely worth trying too — a unique creation with rich, savoury flavours that really sets Springleaf apart from your typical prata place. The food arrived fresh and hot, the service was friendly, and the restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere that made for a very enjoyable meal. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual prata, this is definitely a place worth visiting. We’ll certainly be back to try more items from the menu!
The prata here is really delicious and satisfying. My personal favourites are the Plaster Onion, Egg Onion, and Coin Prata. The prata is tasty, and they sometimes offer special options such as Otak Prata, which makes the menu more interesting. However, the place itself could really use some improvement. The dining area feels quite dark, and the overall environment does not look very pleasant or inviting. If they can improve the cleanliness, lighting, and overall ambience, it would make the dining experience much better. Overall, the food is good, especially the prata, but the environment needs improvement.
Had the Mini Ultimate Murtabak and it was surprisingly filling. The portion was perfect for one person, and the murtabak was well-stuffed, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. Service was smooth and the restaurant was comfortable overall. My only minor gripe is that the air-conditioning could be a bit colder, especially during warmer days. Other than that, it was a pleasant dining experience and I'd definitely consider coming back to try their other dishes.
