  Came here with colleagues for lunch. First time eating here despite frequenting the area. The dishes tasted really fresh. In particular, the delicious lady fingers and the chicken meat, which was so plump and tender. I didn't think that chicken rice would have need for quality ingredients, but the freshness of the chicken and ladyfingers here changed my mind. I was quite surprised by the sauce as well. Most chicken rice stalls have very bland or mild tasting sauces to accompany the chicken but this place's sauce tasted quite full-bodied and herby. Do note that the food here can be quite oily - as expected from chicken rice - but it might be a turn off for some people. For improvement points, I think the service can be improved because the staff put all the cutlery and side dishes at one side of the table and expected us to pass it along ourselves. The best part is that I had all of these for only $8. Overall, I recommend eating here at least once! Get the ladyfingers if you come. You won't regret it.

  I recently visited Sinn Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice in Thomson and found it to be a delightful dining experience. The restaurant offers both roasted and white chicken, each prepared excellently with aromatic flavors and a deliciously silky texture, making for a satisfying meal. The roast chicken, in particular, stood out with its slightly crispy skin and succulent meat. The chicken livers were tender too. Do remember to get the piquant ginger oil sauce, it was a highlight next to the chilli. Accompanying the chicken, the sambal kangkong was notably heavy on the thick sambal gravy, which was intensely flavorful. Although the dumpling soup was a nice side, it did not particularly stand out compared to the other dishes. Notably, parking is available at the CPF building next door, making access easy. Sinn Ji is an affordable option for those looking for quality Hainanese chicken rice, with prices and service that add to its appeal.
