As my regular popiah skin stall was closed, I decided to try Ann Chin. Unfortunately, my first experience was disappointing due to the subpar quality of the popiah skin. The skin was chewy, but its production quality was lacking, with noticeable inconsistencies in size and a rough texture featuring tears at the edges. I personally don't anticipate visiting this store again.
Ordered via delivery got the popiah platter . They offered condiments such as peanut , crunchy bits , shredded egg, fresh spicy chili paste and garlic n sweet sauce . The turnip filling was nice . But I felt the skin was too think and it will break, you have to squeeze the liquid out of turnip prior to wrapping .
Alongside their renowned popiah, they offer a tantalizing array of dishes, including Laksa, Kueh Pie Tee, Yam Cake, Chee Cheong Fun, and an assortment of sweet and savory waffles. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite. I am pleasantly surprised that my kids love the laska too. There are so much effort put in the preparation of the food. I would definitely come back again.
