December 2025; Updated January 2026 - Walked past this many times and I thought I should try it. - Food was decent, with a mainland Chinese flavor palette (mala, spices etc). - Prices are comparable to McDonald's etc. - The branding (using a panda) was memorable and consistent throughout, including the store decor. They chairs were backed by the panda. - Given the distinctly mainland Chinese flavor and branding, I was intrigued about the word "Shiok" in their name. - Oh, and their staff service standards were good. I ordered around 23:30 on New Year's Eve, and I think they already meant to shut down the order kiosks, but they still made my order anyway. Also allowed me to have my drink without ice even though it was not one of the options in the order kiosk. - Overall, great, I would consider it a credible alternative to the other main fast food chains. Updated January 2026 - Their bread is not the typical ones found in burgers. It's firmer and thinner. I like it. - Their take-away bag is a decent reusable paper bag.
It's a fast food place, we went at early evening time. Servers were patient, friendly and very helpful. Our first time there. Wagyu is not nice. Fried chicken burger was good! Crunchy and not soggy. Fried cheese fish sticks was very oily and not nice. Fries were nice though small portion. Now got promotion, free mini ice cream buns with every burger meal purchase. Overall would go back for the fried chicken and good service. Thank you!
Waited around 30 minutes on two separate visits to Shiok Burger, and both times I had to approach the counter myself because my order was not prepared. On one occasion, they also forgot to give me the fries I ordered, and I had to return another day just to claim them. Today was another disappointing experience. After waiting 30 minutes, I went to check on my order only to find that the burger and fries were already done but had not been packed yet. They only started packing it in front of me after I asked. I understand the staff may have been overwhelmed handling delivery orders, takeaways, and dine-in customers during peak period, especially since there were only 2 people working, one cooking and one packing. However, the waiting time and repeated order issues are not acceptable. Management should consider hiring more manpower to better handle the crowd and improve service efficiency.
