Was quite disappointed with One 1️⃣ of the meal, takeaway at $5 price was reasonable but turned out that it’s Horrible gooey fried oyster worse ever tasted it’s like eating a hard rubble bands unable to cut even teeth can’t even bite through. The slim Malay chef a fair looking guy with mid curly hair wasn’t very friendly or his reaction was disoriented when approached, doesn’t have the heart to cook well due to the humid heat in the kitchen which I observed. The menu mistake from HAWKERMAN that the fried oyster is supposed to be omelette and they must offered to cut into pieces same like carrot cake but never 👎 just dump the whole in one piece hard like a rubble how to bite ya. Even if giving to birds 🐦 they puke out. Sorry to said the picture present nice but actual quality sucks. 🤮 I fully agreed with another customer’s comment. Read before buying the correct dish. Now even a small amount is wasted and I walked all the way from Paya Lebar by foot 🦶 to expect this type of quality. Ok the only saving grace was the “Hokkien Mee” at least it tastier than the fried stuff above 👆I decided to dine in HAWKERMAN because the Chinese cashier handled well service 👍🏻 overall the atmosphere is comfortable cozy seating at none peak hours. Really hope that the owner of this cafe will bother to read reviews of this outlets not just earning big bucks, these workers service and I believed they can be improved with some training might be needed to certified the hawker staff to cater well and bring more customers to patron this beautiful kopi cafe outlets at Kedai Kopi @ Haig Road. The outlets at Ang Mo Kio was a good one near Mayflower TEL Lines.
khrhmsCame here for a post work lunch and was happy they had the halal noodle stall. Tried their wanton noodles and it was hot and spicy, with a generous portion of noodles. Clean coffee shop around the area. Will come again to try other things on the menu!
Working FishThe Ayam goreng or fried chicken was fantastic- crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Went there around 4pm and the lady with red hair attended to me. Lucky for me, the chickens were just freshly cooked. Beside the drumstick, there is also breast meat you could choose from. For $5, you get a set of rice, egg, ikan billis and the chicken drumstick. Not forgetting the wonderful chilli sauce with a slice of cucumber. I think it’s quite worth it with the rising cost of living. Hopefully they could keep the price as long as possible.
