Please note that this review is specifically written on Thai Empire in Koufu @SKGH. Been craving Thai Food and thought to give it a try. Came during lunch hour, there was 2 pax before me. They are not on the Koufu app so no 10% discount. Well, the lady that took my order is not rude per say but not friendly either. Waiting time from order to the buzzer beep was about 18 mins. Ordered a pineapple seafood fried rice ($7.80) and an add-on clear tom-yum ($2.50). The fried rice came with 2 prawns and a piece of fried chicken, both clearly frozen. That’s all (period). For $7.80, I think they can do better. On the other hand, I’m glad to have ordered the soup. Though only had 1 squid, 1 sliced fish and soup mushrooms, $2.50 is a fair price. I faintly remember they were orginally located in Anchorvale Village Hawker Centre which is a stone throw away. Their prices there were higher and I hesitated to try back then. Well, looking back, I think I should have just listen to my inner self.
Pleasantly surprised to find a good Nasi Pandang stall in this clean and cosy foodcourt. Curry mutton is yummy, with fried chilli tofu and curry cabbage, this huge plate priced $10.80 is very reasonable given the generous serving size, especially the curry mutton. Will definitely go again.
Was at the Koufu food court in Sengkang General Hospital and decided to try Hua Zai Ampang Yong Tau Foo 华仔安邦酿豆腐 for a quick lunch. 🍜 Always love a good bowl of Yong Tau Foo — especially when paired with that chilli sauce + sweet sauce combo. 🌶️ One thing I really enjoyed here was the free flow of yellow beans to add into the bowl — small touch, but definitely one of my favourites. And of course, cannot forget the sprinkle of sesame seeds on top of the noodles… simple but shiok. Overall, still a passable bowl of YTF. If you’re around and craving something light and comforting, can give it a try. 👍 #YongTauFoo #AmpangYTF #SengkangGeneralHospital #Koufu #HospitalFood #SGFoodies #SingaporeEats #FoodieSG #ComfortFood #HawkerFoodSG #InstaFoodSG #SimpleEats #mealsphotos
