Saute Saranghae at Tampines One serves impressive halal vegetarian Korean fare. The Ttukbaegi Gyeranjjim ($10) stood out with its fluffy, soufflé‑like steamed egg, savoury and umami‑rich — a must‑order. The Budae Jjigae ($12.90 + $3.50 set) was hearty with ramyeon, soy sausage, tofu, cheese and crispy dumplings, though the broth leaned mild spicy; the blue pea drink was refreshing. Miyeok Bokkeumbap ($11.90) offered filling, savoury fried rice with soy ham and seaweed, while Japchae ($12.90) delivered generous portions of chewy glass noodles loaded with vegetables. Overall, a surprisingly satisfying spot for meat‑free Korean comfort food.

Edit: went back to try the lunch deal. Disappointed that the kimchi fried rice was not on the lunch deal (but on the student meal deal??) I tried the normal fried rice, it was alright. Could have given more kimchi on the side too, can see the bottom of the serving dish. Delicious halal vegetarian food here! Look at that egg 😋 the kimchi fried rice is really good too, will definitely order that when i go back.

Taste more like Chinese than Korean food. About $20 per person after adding in GST and service charge. Vegetarian/vegan food should be priced lower to attract more people to eat healthily. It was full house during dinner time on a Saturday though.
