Hui Ming ChiakVisited SanPanman at Jewel and was pleasantly surprised! Had the Nasi Lemak Berempah Chicken, and the chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavour. The fragrant rice paired really well with the sambal, which had just the right amount of spice. Also tried the Boiled Scallop & Lala Soup, and it tasted really fresh and comforting. The broth was light but full of seafood sweetness, with generous portions of scallops and lala. To finish, I had the Kelong Cham, which was smooth, aromatic, and a nice local-style drink to go with the meal. Overall, the food was well-prepared, portions were satisfying, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Definitely a spot worth coming back to when I’m at Jewel!

He kindly helped me change my order to a set meal even though that option wasn't available on the app. I really appreciated his initiative and helpfulness. One small suggestion would be the bowl used for the soft-boiled eggs. It's quite deep compared to the shallow saucers used by Ya Kun or Toast Box, so it's harder to eat the eggs without breaking the yolk. Other than that, I really enjoyed the colourful gem biscuits, and the free-flow cendol is a thoughtful and generous touch. I have also tried both the iced kopi and iced teh tarik on previous visits. The iced kopi is very kaw—it reminds me of the rich, thick coffee served at JB's coffee diver, their TV coffee. Personally, I prefer it over Oriental Kopi. As for the teh tarik, I find it much nicer than Ipoh Town's. It's so good that I came back just to order it again. One observation from a customer's perspective is that the shop is not easy to search for on ChatGPT, and the logo is not very memorable because the wording is difficult to read from a distance. The sampan icon does help people guess the name, but making the text more visible could improve brand recognition. Overall, these are just my honest observations and personal experience. I enjoyed my visits and would definitely come back.
Kalai Selvi KFood was greatt butala sauce was super salty. Staffs are not attentive and not approachable. Staffs keep throwing n banging things around which made dining inside noisy n uncomfortable. Was dining with a friend who just arrived from abroad after 5years. Managress lied to us saying there's a reservation when restaurant was totally empty and asked us to vacate the table. She also did not inform us that we can get free toy if payment done thru Paynow. None of the staffs smile.. Can go for food only but not for service.
