  Tried this 24-hour supper spot and honestly, the only thing that stood out was the radish–carrot peppery soup — warm, comforting, and actually quite flavourful. The soup The lime juice was also surprisingly good: not too sweet, nicely sour, just the way I like it. Free half egg given fyi. But everything else… 🫤 The chicken was bland and slightly cold, the rice was soft without that nice fluffy texture, and even the chili didn’t deliver the kick I was expecting. I’m not sure how it got such a high rating — maybe the free drink for leaving a review has something to do with it. The soup also came in two self-service pots, and this part really shocked me — one pot had a warm, comforting, peppery broth, while the other tasted flat and bland, almost like a completely different recipe. The inconsistency between the two was honestly quite funny but also a bit concerning for a place that runs 24 hours. The place also wasn’t very clean — chili and sauces were left sitting on the tables, untouched and unattended, which wasn’t the most appetising sight. On top of that, their homemade barley juice was left uncovered before being poured back into the bottles for refilling. Overall, not the most reassuring experience. Fyi, I didn’t order the kampung chicken.

Tried it for the first time recently (they seem newly opened and 24 hours too — big plus!), and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. The rice was super fragrant and flavourful — the kind that already tastes good on its own. Portions are generous, got extra rice 😍 The sambal/sauce hits a nice balance — not overly spicy, just enough kick to complement the chicken without overpowering it. Overall, a really satisfying plate for the price and portion. If you’re in the area and looking for a comforting local delicacy, this is a great spot to try. I’m already planning my next visit to check out their otak-otak and drinks! Simple, tasty, and value for money 👍

  13 Oct 25 i was wandering around the area with my friend looking for breakfast when i stumbled upon this 24hrs chicken rice shop. i have to admit, i was quite shocked to find chicken rice open at such an early hour but im so glad i decided to give it a try. the chicken was incredibly soft & cooked perfectly and the soup was so clear & light. it was the absolute perfect way to start the morning 🤭 honestly this has become one of my fav chicken rice spots in sg. surely will come back here again. for me, the portion is just nice for one person.
