Had an amazing dining experience at Salai Restaurant! We ordered the platter, which included A5 Wagyu, Wagyu Uchimomo, and 3 fresh oysters. The food was highly recommended. The A5 Wagyu was incredibly tender, rich, and flavorful. The Wagyu Uchimomo was equally delicious—juicy, tasty, and a favourite of my 8-year-old daughter, who absolutely loved it! Both cuts of Wagyu were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. A great bonus for families: kids below 12 years old receive a complimentary pulled beef burger or fish burger. The free-flow hot teapot was also a lovely touch and complemented the meal perfectly. What made the experience even better was the service. The waiters were super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the different Wagyu cuts and shared the ongoing promotions with us. Kudos to the team for the excellent food and outstanding hospitality. Definitely a must-try, and we’ll be back again! ❤️🥩✨

A real mixed bag in this place - food was very tasty, service wasn’t good at all (I’m really shocked based on the reviews). My boyfriend picked here for Valentine’s day whilst we are travelling and currently in Singapore. We were quite excited being big steak lovers! To list the issues with the service - - when we arrived, the server made us feel that our reservation wasn’t on the system or something. He looked really confused and we waited outside for our table. - no help or explanation with the menus, no polite manners, just really awkward service. - we got served our mac & cheese sides 10 minutes before our steaks - we got no plates, so had to ask as we tried not to drip mac and cheese allover the table as we were sharing - we also got served our fries after they sat on the counter for 5 minutes, and they were served a significant amount before our steaks too - when I addressed this with the server, he said sides come before the steaks. Meanwhile we are looking around at every other table getting their steaks and sides at the same time. No acknowledgement of the fact I said our fries are now cold! - no checking how our food was at any particular time - that server disappeared and another came over when we were ready to pay, and said would we like dessert to which we didn’t, and he said I am aware there were some problems and was going to give you free dessert. To be honest, we weren’t really wanting desserts. Nice gesture, but delivered really badly. - I worked in hospitality for years and I have only ever did this one other time when I’ve had a meal, but I requested the 10% service charge be removed (based on the fact we weren’t having dessert and we got below average service!). We were told what about 5% off? The absolute cheek! I’m not haggling over my meal that was delivered in the way in which it was! I couldn’t believe it! The steaks were cooked so good - we tried two different ones but also wasn’t informed what each one was, so I’m not even sure. Such a shame, really good food! My boyfriend is a lot more laid back than me, and even he couldn’t believe the service we received in this place. So much for a nice Valentine’s day meal! May I add, the tables are super close to one another. Charging those prices, I think you should be upholding some sort of standard of service because whatever that was tonight was absolutely terrible.

Had the lamb ribs and steak — both were really well done. The steak was cooked nicely, tender and juicy, while the lamb ribs were flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. Presentation was great too. The staff were also very attentive and helpful throughout the dining experience, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, great food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back again!
