Nothing beats a plate of Nasi Lemak at Red Ginger when the cravings hit! I had the Nasi Lemak set today and it was incredibly satisfying. The rice is the star—fragrantly infused with pandan and perfectly fluffy. The sambal has that ideal balance of spicy and sweet, and the chicken was fried to perfection. The cafe has a nice, clean atmosphere and the service was quick. Definitely a reliable spot for authentic local delights!
What a delicious spot for a nasi padang lunch! I got 2 veggies and 1 meat at a reasonable price (less than $8). Mee rebus was $5.70. For 2026 mall price, it’s pretty good! The flavours were delicious, portion was generous. The mee rebus was also just as good. Will definitely be back!
I ordered food from Red Ginger at Lot One and noticed that the chicken drumstick sizes varied a lot, some were about 30–50% smaller than others, with very little meat, while some were much bigger, yet all were sold at the same price. The shop isn’t running a lottery where you’re lucky to get a big piece and unlucky to get a small one, especially when everyone pays the same price. This feels unfair to customers. I spoke to the staff, who explained it was due to different chicken sizes from the supplier. To be fair, the staff were polite and handled the feedback well. The food tasted good overall, but I hope the shop can improve portion consistency or adjust pricing to be fairer.
