12.30pm, and the cheese beef and another steak item has already sold out. I tried the honey glazed boneless chix - not expecting much as I was heading to Amoy hawker for Spicy Wife -and this menu turns out to be very amazing! Not a sweet tooth, so the sauce (for me) is very well-balanced, with rice, a small salad and sambal chilli with an amazing kick! Well worth my 15mins wait. My good lunch portion was $7 (they also accept CDC vouchers), in addition to the great menu - the other return factor would be the ever smiling lady (ie great customer service from her) who took my order 😍 Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu 😋

Some foods you eat when you’re having a craving. Other foods you eat during special occasions. This is neither. There’s nothing abnormal about this, it’s definitely normal but in a good way. The Ayam Penyet with indomee style noodles is something I can see myself having for lunch everyday - and that is a big compliment. Of course, don’t expect anything life changing, but I was surprised that the chicken was freshly fried and unlike their neighbour (Spicy Wife) which has long queues but serves burnt, raw chicken - this is the opposite. Humble fare at an attainable price - for $7 for such a dish is usually unheard of especially in the CBD. The quality speaks for itself, of course take price into consideration, but you won’t be disappointed. I like this.

Honey glazed Ayam Penyet – $6.50 Honestly, the takeaway didn’t look very appealing at first, so I wasn’t expecting much. But wah, it turned out delicious! The sauce on the chicken was really shiok, and even the sambal was very tasty. The chicken portion was surprisingly big too and I was so full after finishing. Definitely worth it!
