Kitty and I were looking for a spot of lunch in Ang Mo Kio, and we stumbled upon Rahim Muslim Food, which had a Google rating of 4.2, so we were intrigued to sample their Muslim fare. We chose this establishment as Kitty was due for a hair treatment at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, and the stall was conveniently located nearby. We arrived at approximately 12.30 pm, anticipating a lunchtime throng, given that the stall commences service at 11.30 am, but surprisingly, there were no other patrons present upon our arrival. I opted for the Mee Rebus, while Kitty selected the Mee Soto with a potato. The total cost for both dishes came to $9. Finding the stall within Chong Boon Market and Food Centre proved straightforward. However, the absence of a queue at lunchtime, particularly given its Google rating, was most unexpected. Furthermore, the stall itself simply didn't exude any positive vibes, contributing to our overall sense of unease. Regrettably, my Mee Rebus was not sufficiently heated, it was merely lukewarm. The broth appeared to have been prepared the previous day and left overnight. It possessed a rather soggy consistency, and due to its lukewarm temperature, the entire dish lacked flavour and was rather unappetising. Kitty's Mee Soto was marginally hotter, but the broth failed to meet our expectations. It lacked the requisite depth of flavour we were seeking. Based on our experience, Rahim Muslim Food did not live up to its 4.2 Google rating. Consequently, we would not commend it to others, at least not based on our experience today. Perhaps it was just a bad day.

Came here for the mee rebus, and boy did it not disappoint. Chose the option with chicken for an additional $2, and added a begedil to complete the meal. Authentic, good tasting mee rebus that left me very happy.
