Colin LiewGreat place for breakfast after walk. Had the nasi lemak and me siam with nice cold drinks of lime juice and water chestnut. Taste as always is good and the chicken wings hot and crispy. They have been around for a long time and white sands just opened about a year or so back. Still one of my favorite places for local stuff. :)
Adelia Tan5 Feb 2025 - dine in at 1.30pm. 3 stars overall. Prawn laksa - 4 stars. A pretty satisfying bowl of laksa. Came with 5 small frozen prawns, 2 pieces tau pok, quite a few slices of fishcake & half a hardboiled egg. The gravy was tasty, not too salty & spicy/hot enough - didn't even need to add the extra sambal. The prawns were fresh enough. Noodles average. A bit more bean sprouts & sliced laksa leaves would be preferred. Price $6.80 is considered reasonable at a shopping mall location. Portion size ok for a female, guys may probably need more noodles. Staff weren't really friendly but at least answered customers' questions and helped to settle payment issues with NETS card that day as the machine wasn't able to read the cards when tapped, had to physically insert the cards & enter PIN numbers. The area for dine-in is a bit tight, tables/seats are quite close together and the tables weren't cleaned promptly after customers left. The space isn't enclosed so it's very open to people walking by, exposed to sounds and air-borne diseases, etc. Just happened to have a lion dance performance at a nearby store while I was dining here & it was deafeningly loud. Will try some of the other items another time.
consumerOmg their standards dropped at other outlets but it is ridiculously bad at WS Not only was service slow and blur, they know I was dining in and still packed it as takeaway then plated it, ingredients was RIDICULOUSLY STINGY. ONE SMALL FINGERFUL OF BEANSPROUTS OR EGGS SPLIT BY 2 POPIAH? Hygiene - server making my popiah was coughing coughing too? you can see how FLAT THE POPIAH IS. Do not buy. Its overall 2 stars rating is too much even. asked to remake or refund. They refunded and had the courtesy to drop my change wow
