I recently visited Prata Lah! at the Community Centre. Here’s the breakdown of my experience: • The Food: The Plain Prata was impressively crispy—exactly how I like it. I also tried the Mutton Murtabak, which was packed with a generous amount of mutton. While the filling was great, I felt the skin could have been a bit crispier to match the quality of the plain prata. • The Drinks: The Teh Halia was "not bad"—a good, warming companion to the meal. • The Sambal (Personal Take): I ordered the Sardine Sambal hoping to elevate the flavors, as I’m a fan of how Malaysian prata stalls often incorporate a savory sambal into the gravy. Unfortunately, this version was a bit sour and not spicy at all. It would be much better if it were spicier and had more onions to give it that extra kick. • Service & Atmosphere: The service is fast and efficient, which I appreciated. The air-conditioned interior makes it a very comfortable spot to dine, especially given its convenient location inside the CC. Overall, it gives off a similar vibe to Springleaf Prata. Definitely worth a visit for the crispiness and the comfort, though the sardine sambal could use a bit of a recipe tweak!
This afternoon, we ordered a takeaway Beef Rib Briyani for dinner. This is the 2nd time we are ordering the Beef Rib Briyani because we remembered the 1st time was a delicious meal. It did not disappoint! Thank You! While waiting I ordered 1 Paper Thosai to share with my hubby at the cafe. The owner was nice and attentive giving us an extra plate and cutlery so that we could share the meal. When we brought the Briyani home and ate it some 3 hours later, the meal did not lose its fragrance or taste. The beef ribs were tender and the meat falls off the rib. The curry was thick and flavorful and the rice cooked to perfection. IIt was an enjoyable meal and enough for 2 of us as we are small eaters. Thank you for the delicious meals! Keep up the good work and the excellent service. I look forward to more delicious and creative meals from Prata Lahhh!
The curry here is goood..... thick and well flavoured even for their fish curry. Highly recommended for their beef rib and thosai. Their Murtabak is abit different from the usual one we eat in, their prata is thinner and crisper.
