See the last pic - When u see all the paper bags at the counter, my advice is not to order unless u like cold, sad waffles. You can also see waffles cooling while they put the batter in for the new orders that come in. If possible come when they are less busy. Docked points as the waffle lacks consistency. When they have many orders they let your waffle cool while they prepare the other orders, so you end up with a cold, sad waffle that isn’t worth the carbs. ————————- Note the food rating is just for the SG breakfast (Kaya and sliced butter) pandan waffles which were excellent. The pb waffle was mid for me. The pastries here are ok with some folks liking their sugar rolls and other rolls. I do like the sausage roll and curry puff from time to time. But the winner is the sg breakfast pandan waffle with the yummy Kaya and nice cool slabs of butter against the warmth of the Kaya and waffle 😋
Very bad service from the staff Huay Xing (in black t-shirt) as I have purchased salad set from this stall and the cream dropped off as she placed improperly on the meal set. Hence, I asked for replacement cream, she started to accuse me and said it's chargeable. She is the worst customer service I have met, without professionalism and manners.
I was pleasantly surprised by the new waffle stand at Polar Cafe. The waffles are reasonably priced and come with a generous portion of filling. I thoroughly enjoyed my crunchy peanut charcoal waffle. Just a heads-up: due to the warmth, the sauce might melt inside the paper bag while you're eating, so be a bit careful!
