I’ve tried countless poke places over the years, but somehow I always find myself coming back here because the quality, consistency, and service are just unmatched. The ingredients are always fresh, portions are generous, and the bowls never feel “mass produced” or sloppy even during busy hours. Their proteins are flavourful, vegetables are crisp, and the overall balance of the bowl always tastes clean yet satisfying. You can genuinely tell they care about maintaining standards instead of just rushing out orders. It’s one of the few healthy food places that actually leaves you feeling full and happy instead of regretting spending money. But what truly makes this outlet stand out for me is the staff. I really want to give a huge shoutout to Ah Bee, Soon Lee, and Aries for always making every visit such a pleasant experience. They are honestly the reason why this branch feels so warm and welcoming compared to many other food places nowadays. Ah Bee is consistently friendly, attentive, and incredibly patient even during peak hours. You can tell she genuinely cares about customers and puts effort into creating a good experience instead of just doing the bare minimum. Her energy is always so warm and positive that it genuinely improves my mood whenever I visit. Soon Lee also deserves massive recognition because he’s always so polite, hardworking, and professional. No matter how crowded the queue gets, he still manages to stay calm, efficient, and friendly towards customers. That kind of attitude is honestly rare nowadays, especially in F&B where many staff look burnt out or uninterested. And Aries has also always been amazing — super approachable, cheerful, and attentive. Small interactions with staff may seem insignificant to some people, but when you’ve been patronising a place for years, you really notice and appreciate people who consistently provide excellent service and make customers feel welcomed every single time. It’s honestly refreshing to see staff who still maintain such high standards of hospitality because it really elevates the whole dining experience. Over the years, this outlet has become more than just a place I grab food from — it’s genuinely a familiar comfort spot for me. Thank you to the Somerset team for maintaining such great food quality and service standards throughout the years. Justin HoyoCame here a few times because it’s near my office. Quality is similar to their many other outlets. Fresh, healthy, and relatively filling! Price wise is on the higher end though - as expected with these healthy bowl joints. My favourite thing about Poke Theory is their fresh sashimi cubes and their wide variety of sauces. Worth giving it a try if you’re into “salad” bowls!
E LJust came out of the 111 Somerset outlet. I always frequent this branch due to the consistent serving portion, but something disappointing happened today. A female staff with short blonde hair served me, and she gave me a lot less poke compared to the other bowls of the same size (Light). The only difference was I ordered avocado miso salmon whereas the rest went with original shoyu salmon. I was quite sad after seeing the bowls before and after mine filled with a lot more poke. Why did this happen to me?
