Mr Wang WangWe visited the restaurant with a friend for the pizza buffet, arriving at approximately 1:10 PM. Upon arrival, the counter was unattended, and although several staff members were visible near the kitchen area, none approached to assist. We had to flag down a female staff member ourselves to inquire about the buffet. She asked us to wait while she located a colleague. After a wait of about five minutes, another staff member arrived and directed us to make payment. During the transaction, it became apparent that the first staff member was still in training, as the second employee was actively guiding her through the process. While it’s understandable that new staff need to learn, it would have been more efficient—and provided a better customer experience—if the more experienced employee had taken the lead during peak dining hours. As for the food, we sampled a variety of pizza flavors, which were quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the green curry pizza was out of stock at the time, which was a slight disappointment. Overall, despite the initial service hiccup, the dining experience was pleasant.
P LimWe’ve never been to a pizza buffet before, so we decided to try Pizza Hut’s. When we arrived at opening time, we waited at the entrance, but no one engaged us - even after a couple of waitstaff noticed us. It later turned out that the cashier, who was supposed to be manning the counter, was also cooking in the kitchen. We weren’t attended to until much later, when he finally came out wearing an apron. We were served drinks and soup first, but the table and cutlery were not clean, as you can see from the photos. We tried wiping the table with our own wet wipes, and you probably don’t want to see what they looked like after. Mind you, this was at 11am, their opening time. After that, various pizzas came fast and furious, and we managed to try every flavour listed on the menu. All in all, we had about 12 slices for two people. The pizzas themselves were good. There were other sides available, such as wings, sidewinders, fries and ice cream. We asked for chilli sauce, but it never arrived. We were also wondering why pasta wasn’t being served. According to the waitstaff, it “wasn’t ready yet.” How long does it take to cook pasta? The mushroom aglio olio finally appeared close to 50 minutes later, by which time we were already stuffed. It was also very dry and served in disposable cups. The Chicken Pomodoro didn’t even make an appearance until an hour later. What gives? There was probably just another table having the same buffet as us. Not a busy lunch time. I’m hesitant to try this again when it’s back, mainly because of the lacklustre service.
