  We engaged Penang Culture Catering for our company event and were very happy with the experience. Our salesperson Krystal was professional, responsive, and very patient in assisting us with the menu selection and arrangements. The delivery was punctual and hassle free. As it was a drop & go service, everything was neatly packed and ready, which made it very convenient for our team to handle. The food was fresh, delicious, and well received by everyone at the event.   Catering service fell short — and so did the response We engaged Penang Culture for a family catering order for what was meant to be a celebration for my grandmother with quite a few guests. The main dish, the Penang kway teow, was inedible due to it being excessively salty. Not one guest at the table was able to consume it. To make matters worse, there was no way to reach anyone from the team during the event to request an alternative or have the situation addressed. We were left with no recourse and no meal. When we raised this feedback, the initial response attributed the issue to taste preferences varying from person to person — which we found difficult to accept given that every single guest, across a wide age range, had the same experience. Further correspondence was exchanged, but what stood out was the tone of the replies — particularly the closing statement that this would be their "final resolution." Rather than feeling that our concerns were genuinely acknowledged, it felt as though the matter was simply being shut down. We were not looking for anything extravagant. We were simply looking to feel heard. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we received at any point throughout this process. I share this so that others planning a meaningful occasion can make an informed decision before booking.
