I had a very disappointing encounter today with one of your staff members at the Hillion outlet. We ordered two sets, priced at $13.90 each, which included a drink and a cake—and we clearly pointed to the display to confirm our selection. Since we had a budget of $50, we added pizzas and a croissant, bringing our total to $52.10. However, when we collected our items, the drinks were missing. We returned to the outlet to check on them, and Ms. Wanie informed us that the initial staff member had only keyed in the cakes, explaining that the drinks are sold separately. We clarified that we had indeed ordered the sets. Ms. Wanie then voided the original bill and issued a new one, which came up to $66.70. This new bill included two sets (cakes and drinks), four pizzas (though the "buy 4 get 1 free" promotion was missing), and one tuna croissant. Regardless, we felt significantly overcharged for these items. Furthermore, the voided transaction has not yet been reflected on my credit card app, meaning I now have to monitor my statement closely for any discrepancies. Any confusion with my bill would only add further inconvenience. This entire experience felt completely unnecessary and could have been avoided if the first staff member (a chinese girl) had been more knowledgeable and attentive, instead of day dreaming. She offered no apology and seemed entirely disinterested in the inconvenience she caused—this is a level of service I have never encountered at Paris Baguette before. I would strongly suggest sending her for additional training; otherwise, I doubt future reviews will be favorable. Lastly, I would like to commend Ms. Wanie for stepping in. Regardless of whether the final bill was perfectly accurate, she was quick to address our issue and handled the situation proactively.
I have been getting weekly takeaways at Hillion Mall’s Paris Baguette outlet. The staff does not attend to me promptly for all of my past visits. However, my experience for dine-in today has been wonderful. Your service staff named Solehah was particularly friendly and all smiles - she even recommended me which drink to get - and this makes my morning slightly better. And because of that, I added 2 more breakfast sets for takeaway :) Thank you Solehah!
cute latte art. Ordered cafe latte at Paris Baguette Hillion. Was surprised at such attention to detail & staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service- 10/10 Despite being rush hour and visually understaffed, staffs attended to customers as much as possible and were super friendly. Although many kept asking staff to clean the table, yet again we don’t pay any service charge to demand such actions from them haha…. // Yet again they were very busy and had to kept going in and out to clear trays and handle drinks. They are a hardworking batch of staffs, would love to employ them but don’t have company. Price- 8/10 On the high side of cafe stores but the food is great, though not excellent. Price is quickly justified by the service catered by the Paris Baguette employees. Coffee has a nice aroma and price-wise, quite competitive. Food- 7/10 I must say their food are on the saltier side, with the salmon deluxe combo having a rather saltier taste towards it then usual. Had the sandwich toasted and boy was it nice. The breads are your typical selections of which you can find at other bakeries as well. Their pastries smells good especially when you stroll by in the morning. Love their mini chocolate twist ❤️ Atmosphere- 5/10 Music choice here is extremely questionable… The radio plays the weirdest music known to mankind. One moment it’s some french culture music the other it’s korean and the next it’s pop. The crowds here seem to be of younger age so maybe a pop-focused radio would seem nicer? The crazy amount of genre thrown into the radio is so off putting when you’re just having a nice meeting with friends or colleagues. The lightings were quite nice, beige lightings instead of the super yellowish lights coming from Mcdonald’s. The front area looks the nicest but also the least comfortable due to the awkward crowds that will stare at you. Cleanliness- 7/10 It is extremely subjective to each and everyone. Personally the floor was decorated in a mosaic style so as to camouflage food waste into the floor i assume? Although not the most hygienic as one might step on it and go about their day, i do appreciate the staffs clearing the plates whenever possible. I must say the Tray Return area is extremely small and often then not, flooded with trays and makes it extremely hard for the staff to clear, have seen them walking in and out 5 times clearing the tray return station. The chiller station was relatively clean so no complains. Remarks: Perhaps allocate more staffs during peak periods, i do notice that during peak periods, even 3 staff at the front station seem insufficient. Radio must change, either remove it completely or have the young staff change them. 5 Stars because of how nice the counter staffs were which is extremely rare to find these days. Special mentions to the beige guy&girl and navy apron lady, very heartwarming welcome.
