CharlieA unique Peranakan-Western fusion that’s worth trying! This was my first time coming across a Peranakan-Western concept, and I was intrigued enough to give it a try. We ordered the Ayam Pongteh Chicken Chop ($8.80) and the Buah Keluak Nasi Set ($6.00). The prices are very affordable, especially considering the generous portions. Between the two, I preferred the Buah Keluak Nasi Set. It had a comforting, homely taste that reminded me of a home-cooked Peranakan meal. The chicken chop with Ayam Pongteh sauce was an interesting fusion and worth trying if you’re looking for something different. Overall, the food was enjoyable and offers a refreshing twist on both Western and Peranakan cuisine. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly meal with a unique local flavour, Panginut is definitely worth checking out. I’d be happy to return and explore more of their menu.
Carmen LIf I could give 6/5 stars, I totally would. Came here after watching yummychitchat on YouTube and I must say - this totally didn't disappoint at all!! Though I had to wait a little more than 10 min for my food (and I don't think there was anyone before me), it was totally worth the wait. My husband and I ordered the pongteh chicken chop and buah keluak chicken chop. I was so surprised after I saw the plates of food because they were humongous! Each plate only costs $8.80 and the quality was outstanding to say the least. I especially liked the buah keluak sauce which was nutty and licorice-y, close to what you'd get for buah keluak. The sauce can be quite jelak so diners will really appreciate the achar that was thoughtfully provided as well. As for the sides, the wedges seemed as though there was a slight hint of lemon/citrus(?) which provided a nice, subtle zing. The pasta might be bordering on salty for some, but it's largely okay and flavourful. Their menu is also quite extensive with burgers, fries and pizza. I definitely confirm plus chop (ha... ha...) be back for more!! Update: I really did come back for more - with my parents and my husband two more times in less than a week! I tried all their Peranakan-inspired chicken dishes and my latest obsession is their sambal tumis fish. The seasoning is close to perfection. Chef's kiss!

Chew & Chat Food Court is a popular spot in Joo Chiat Complex , serving up affordable and delicious meals with a variety of halal options. Toppot Mala & Seafood Tze Char Is a great experience of Sichuan-style here in Singapore! Panginut western halal food, so delicious that I love the mushrooms soups, pizza, burgers & more. Here I gave 5 stars to all base of delicious food, halal registered for all to enjoy & good service!
